Do-it-yourself stocking-stuffer: 50 hours of Siglerism on DVD
DVD Front CoverStrapped for cash this Christmas? Black Friday just piss you off? I've got your economic stimulus right here, just lets me whips dis out: How about 50 hours of Sigler stories in a do-it-yourself DVD? The ultimate stocking stuffer to your fiction-loving friends and family for just a couple of bucks.
We put this up last year, but since we've added so many Junkies since then, and since the economy is taking it right up the rear entrance we're bring it back. (Click the headline for this post, or the "read more" link to see what you get in your 50-hour audiobook Sigstravaganza).
ALSO AVAILABLE FROM AMAZON.COM AS PRE-MADE DVD:
Thanks to Junke Mark Smith (SmittyHalibut), we now have a ready-made version of the same thing available for for $6.08 plus shipping. This is a silk-screened DVD in a jewel case, printed with Amazon's fancy printers. It looks so good it makes me feel all tingly in strange places. No one is making a penny off this (except Amazon). We wanted to keep the price as low as possible to facilitate gift-giving. Repeat - the FDO™ doesn't make one cent on this, so don't buy if you just want to support. This is so you can give something fun to friends and family without breaking the bank.

Sigmas is here!
This is why I should never been given Xmas eve off. I spend my time with a cheap inkjet printer, a lot of DVD label blanks, and two (now empty) ink cartridges. Of course, I did screw up a number of the printouts with misaligned DVD labels, cropped covers, etc.
Fortunately its now done and I have 7 beautiful finished DVDs:
Now its done, and tomorrow morning, some lucky recipients will be inducted into Siglerism.
Merry Xmas Scott

Awesome!
Add it to the Pantheon of Siglarism?

Careful now...
The Pantheon of Siglarism has the S.H.I.T. Award so The Shit would have to be distinguished from the S.H.I.T. Unless, of course, this dude becomes the 2nd S.H.I.T award recipient for killing his toner to spread Siglerism.

A Charitable Suggestion to Spread the Evil...
Hey, since kit makes a very professional looking DVD set once it is done, here is an idea that would not only promote Siglerism to a wider audience, but also do some good as well.
Junkies could make an extra DVD set or two than they want for handing out to friends and family, and drop them into donation boxes for places like the Goodwill or Salvation Army thrift stores. There are lots of these organizations that take used items and resell them as a way to raise funds to help the less fortunate, and most of them also provide jobs for the handicapped and other people who have difficulties finding work elsewhere. Over the years I have picked up many used books and CD's in such stores, along with the occasional item of clothing or kitchen gadget.
I would think that as long as the home-printed parts of the kit were done on a high enough quality printer that the cases and DVD labels looked reasonably professional that they would be treated the same as any other audio book donation. And let's not forget that many of these organizations are going to be financially struggling with the double whammy of lower donations and having to serve more people in need, so every little bit of help they can get helps. (Also, let's not forget that it would be an excellent time to donate any other appropriate items you are not using anymore when you go to drop off your extra FDO DVDs - or even if you aren't planning on donating anything Sigler related.)
What do you think FDO? Looks like a win-win to me, but you're the Overlord - the armies are awaiting your command.

I humbly request that when the FDO takes out our lovely city that he take out these luddites first.
Anyway, just need to print the DVD inserts and pick up some cases. May start making these up and leaving them on buses too. :)
