Another CRYPT story, this time the sad tale of Yolanda Smith. When you is a ho, the pimp always wins. This is your first peek inside the PUV James Keeling. Just a peek, mind you, the FDO™ wouldn't want to hike up his skirt and show you the good stuff all at once.

This episode of THE CRYPT was co-written by Tabitha "Tabz" Smith, world-famous for her work on Buffy Between the Lines. If you're a Buffy fan, you simply must check out this podcast. Turns out Tabz can kick out some semi-twisted concepts of her own, as evidenced by this story.

I had a chance to zip down to Los Angeles and meet Eric Bernt, the screenwriter for the INFECTED movie. It was a good time, but then I put him on the spot with Junkie questions about the movie. We discussed the filming process, special effects for the triangles, the use of puppies to get that coveted, family friendly G-rating, and when we can expect to see INFECTED in theaters (if at all, many hurdles yet to overcome).

Junkies: times are tough, but they are far tougher for our disabled vets. I don't shill for charities that often, but this is my biggie. In honor of our the veterans who served our nation, consider donating a few scheckles to the Disabled American Veterans. The economy sucks and people are losing jobs, but you can always get another job -- you can't get another limb. Our men and women are coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan with severe injuries, and every little bit helps.

Scott at a "bookstore" in Seattle: This was a "reading" during the INFECTED book tour. No, officer, I'm fine -- you see, I was just at a bookstore with like-minded educated individuals ...Crown agreed to pay for five cities (including San Fran, where I live, how they scammed me on that one I will never know ...). I felt the voter turnout was so strong, I'm footing the bill for an additional five cities. So the FDO™ will be living on food stamps and Ramens for awhile, so frickin' what? It's worth it to spread my Stank to so many deserving Junkies.

Washington DC was the #1 vote-getter. I'm expecting a turnout of at least 80 people at that one, so y'all better bring a friend. Yep, Texas got two stops, because Texan Junkies are just that hardcore. Some Texans drove four hours one way to see me last year, so this is the least I could do to return the love.

Bottom line? Get your ass out to see me. If you don't, even if you hide in a Denny's (the only approved Siglerism Bomb Shelter), I will still find you and kill you.

Internet Superstar is a show on Revision 3, home of EPIC-FU and DIGGNation. Hosted by the high-energy Martin Sargent, this show covers -- you guesssed it, the "internet famous."

Ask a Ninja Presents The Ninja Handbook is the world's foremost guide to killing people. And monsters. And probably trees, too, but only if they get bitchy. And maybe rocks if you have a big enough hammer, and Ninjas do.

If you guys haven't seen Ask a Ninja, you are missing out on one of the best things the internet ever kicked out. The show is absolutely brilliant and will make you laugh your ass off.

What's more, Ask a Ninja is part of the reason I have a book deal. When the big publishers were wondering if this "podcasting fad" had any legs, they were looking at shows like Ask a Ninja and seeing the insane download numbers online media can create. All the J.C. Hutchins, Scott Siglers, Seth Harwoods and everyone else who's dancing with the big publishers needs to tip their hats to these guys for paving the way and showing just how big online media can get.

I'm buying this book tomorrow. I will definitely use it to kill someone.

First of all, wishing the best on this Memorial Day to any of you who have lost a loved one in the service.

A big triple-whammy hit home this week to delay the episode. First, I was the Toastmaster at the BayCon scifi convention in Santa Clara, CA. Good times! I introduced myself as "the toastiest thing this side of a Denny's breakfast bar," and the good times just rolled from there. I can say with a straight face that I had a few beverages at a Klingon party, then stood in the hall I designated as "the tough part of the hotel" and screamed "just keep on walkin'!" to the people in bad fairy costumes, then finished the night with a live performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show by "Barely Legal." Two in the morning comes with a price tag, my friends.

BayCon occupied me through Monday night. Second part of the double-whammy? NOCTURNAL Episode #28 looks like it will be over an hour of pure story. I've been recording and editing all friggin' day. Seven hours straight.

The third wammy? I have a tight deadine for the first draft of CONTAGIOUS and have to write that at night, no exceptions. When I don't have a NOCTURNAL episode due, I'll be writing CONTAGIOUS all day.

So, NOCTURNAL Episode #28 will post on Wednesday, May 27.

OBSIDIAN: I hate Hutchinsss ...

Now you guys know that I am at war with J.C. Hutchins. Actually, we have a truce at the moment while I deal with Julie Andrew's attack on Siglerism. So that baby-faced bastard had the audacity to take advantage of this Andrews-induced detente and asked me to do a story for his OBSIDIAN/7th SON project. At first, I said "no." Actually, what I said was "you go fuck yourself, J.C. Hutchinsss!" Then, Pope Siglericus piped up with a thought -- the best way to hurt someone is to take what they love most. So, I agreed to provide Hutchinsss with an OBSIDIAN short story in order to steal the spotlight from his whole project. I wrote a real hum-dinger, too. Now you guys know that I would never brag, but this is some of the best short fiction I've written yet. Actually, it's like 9,000 words, so it's a novella.

Margaret and Amos finish up with the dissolving remains of Martin Brewbaker. They also discover a phenomenon with symptoms quite similar to what killed Brewbaker, a condition known a Morgellons Disease. As Perry Dawsey lies passed out on his bathroom floor, the parasites spread farther into his body. The adventure is over for one character, as Dew Phillips deals with the loss of his partner.
