just wanted to know who has finished the STARTER, and what do everyone thinks of the sequel to the ROOKIE. I Just finished the started and I absolutely loved though i would love to see some wild cat formation action in the next book I think the krakens got the talent to pull it off

Scott, if you had to pick a favorite alien species or mutant individual (or two, or three) from the rich universes you've created, which one(s) would it/they be? Or, if you can't pick a favorite among your terrifying cthonic babies, which one(s) would you most like to see in fan art? Finally, could I have a detailed description of said species (or two, or three) a bit beyond what's in the Siglerpedia so I can create some delicious fan art, and thus warm up my drawin' chops for the school year? Thanks!

Sorry if this has already been mentioned elsewhere on here, or it is escaping my memory from the book, but the Ki having eyes all around their head make give them another addition to being great o-linemen. I was a left tackle in high school, and it was always a problem when my QB decided to scramble. He would move to the point where I was no longer between him and the defensive lineman I was blocking. Had I been capable of knowing exactly where my qb was going, I could then block appropriately. The Ki can do this, which compliments Quentin being a mobile quarterback,

Just been reading the paper this morning and flicked to the movie review (Scott Pilgrim) then glanced at the book reviews which I don't normally read as it's full of dull literary stuff, so I was pretty surprised to see a small review of Ancestor down the bottom of the page, the reviewer liked the book too, said the writing has panache & charm!.

Btw Scott the Daily Mail sells over 2 million copies a day so it's not like this a local rag you've gotten into!.

Movie Adaptations

Infected has been optioned as a film. Who would you like to see star or direct? My top choice for the latter would be David Cronenberg (though I love A History of Violence and Eastern Promises, it would be an awesome return to the "body horror" genre). What other adaptations of Sigler novels would you like to see? I think a Guillermo del Toro adaptation of Nocturnal would be amazing. read more »

I am seeking the help of all of Scott's fans. This is a true emergency,if ever there was one.

Yesterday, Scott posted the following on his Twitter stream -

I dont need to tell you how wrong it is that our Fearless Leader thought that Bud Lite was a beer worthy of being the Beer of Døøm™ to begin with... but to then proclaim, for all to see, that Miller High Life is now the Official Beer of Døøm™ is just going to far.

In order to help the FDO learn and appreciate beers that are not made by the big beer brands, I have started a Chip In page where my goalis to raise $420 and get Scott a one year subscription to the Domestic Beer Club from the people at the Beer of the Month Club. I am hoping that this will expand Scott's horizons.

From the Beer of the Month Club's site -

Members receive twelve, 12-oz. beers from two different lightly distributed U.S. Microbreweries. Each shipment includes four different beer styles, three bottles of each style and our monthly newsletter.

Should I fail to raise the money for a one year subscription, I will use what ever monies are raised to buy Scott a subscription with funds raised closest to an available subscrition level.

Repeating phrases

Having listened to Scott for years I have noticed that two phrases seem to appear in every book: 'fetal position' and 'legs pumping'. Maybe 'legs pumping' was just in the Rookie a lot, but 'fetal position', has surely been used in most books.

A little experiment, if I may request.

Scott (or anyone who has pdf's of all Sigler books), please confirm or deny the hypotesis that there are phrases 'fetal position' and 'legs pumping' in every Sigler book.

Scott, you might want to try and find some alternatives for those phrases, it's getting a little repeatative.

Or maybe it's just seems that way to me.

All right i have been listening to the crypt and by god is it good. i was listening to the section on the washington DC and they listed the group mind's...minds...paul fischer is one of them, now for the questions. (1)is that the paul fischer from infected, contagious, and the ancestor?(i cant remember is fischer was in earthcore or not since its been awhile since i listened to it) also is this one of the ways the FDO is going to tie in characters from other novels of the siglerverse in to the rookie universe with this group mind process? (2) also wondering if the FDO was thinking of putting some of the other great minds of his novels into them like Jian? I know that only the FDO himself knows the workings of his own mind (though does he really know the workings of his mind!?) but what do the rest of the junkies out there htink on this subject?

So the stars and cameos in the Expendables were plentiful. It was billed as having all of the Action Stars from the 80's together for the first time, but I thought there were some notable absences. So I propose this - we the Junkies write in the Cameos that Should Have Been. I'll get us started:

When General Garza's men were searching for Sandra, we see Sandra slipping out the back of the house. She looks left and right but there are soldiers guarding both ends of the alley. Suddenly she hears a whispered "Hey! Up here!", gasps, and whirls to face the rooftop behind her. Michael Biehn leans out and extends his hand to her.

New member and love the podcasts however it is a pain to go to Itunes then download them to my BlackBerry. There is a new app for the BlackBerry called Podcasts it would be fantastic if FDO's podcasts could be put on this service! Anyone elese out with a BlackBerry who would use this?

I know i m probobly the last to know but who i kissyman i have seen may people speak of kissyman is in in the bloodcasts because i haven't been able to get into them cause of being sucked into ancestor, along with nocturnal, and earthcore, and listening to Mur Lafferty in "I should be writing"
