IN THIS EPISODE:
Perry Dawsey begins to feel the effects of the infection, although it's still too early to tell if he will wind up like Martin Brewbaker. Margaret Montoya contines to examine Brewbaker's rapidly decomposing corpse, and finds key clues that could finally shed some light on a disease that drives people to murder.
BOOK SALES:
We got some preliminary numbers in, they are strong, but not as strong as they should be considering the size of Siglerism -- if you like these free podcasts, grab yourself a copy or buy one as a gift. The more books I sell, the more I can lock in doing this full-time, and the more stories you're going to get. You do the math -- buy one book per year, get over 70 free fiction episodes each year. Seems like a good deal to me, so get going!
Chapter thirteen
So, How different are the book and the podcast? I don't recall the podcast chapter 13 in the book...is it because it's an evil number?... All you out there! go buy the book and find out for your selfs!!!
Ready to help you take over the world
Buy this book
THE KATG?
Sorry about that
Can I send a book
Bought a bunch
I bought several of the dead tree and the CD, and I tell yah, the drive to work is SOOO much more bearable listning to the story while on the drive...........Crack-heads.... buy more than one book, more than 2.... buy the CD too (or again, more then a couple of copies), I for one want Scott to continue to do his dream, and if he can do that, while we get to escape in his fiction, then more power to all of us....so, lets get the number up, its only fair, especially when the number of copies sold doesnt match the amount of junkies downloading and listening, that just aint cool, not cool at all...
BUY BUY BUY... buh-bye

I agree
It is not a crime. How could it be a crime to correct the injustice of someone possibly missing out on such an amazing bit of literature.

Lazy Bastards
Damn these lazy bastards! I got 2 copies for my house, and I still consider it a steal.
But, I'm still pushing friends, and soon-to-be-not-friends, to buy the book. ANYONE THAT HAS LISTENED TO ALL THE PODCASTS HAVE GOTTEN ENOUGH LISTENING TO JUSTIFY $20.
Whew, I feel better. Of course, posting this here is like preaching to the choir, right?
A small island, but not insignificant

I think it comes out in June here in the UK. You can, as I have order from Amazon.com rather than .co.uk though.

Oh well, just have to wait for the dark lord to unite us all under a banner of love (chortle)

(me cognitating about the Tip jar / no tip jar thing)In that case, Scott, what you ought to do is get your code guru(s) to put a button on the side of the page that lets people order from Amazon.com. Or, if it's possible to do so without offending the stores in question, you could have one button for Amazon, and another button for Barnes and Noble or something.I know it must be possible to set up stuff like that 'cause they used to have something like it on Wingin' It.And that way, weirdos that want to support you through a virtual "tip jar" can just electronically buy a copy of your book at Amazon (I know, I know you're pushing brick-and-mortar, and I understand that, but a sale of *some* kind is better than no sale at all) and they can just think of paper book that shows up in the mail a few weeks later as a little extra "thank you" for their generous contribution to the cause of Siglerism.er... does that sound ok?
Furry cows moo and decompress.
I've got it .....
No, not any little triangles.
Have a tip jar, but what you do is, when you get enough to buy a book you ... buy a book (and hence increasing sales), but as it was just a tip, YOU own the book and use it to prop up your old desk under the stairs. You could even flog them on eBay and make even more money.
Just a thought :-)
Granted, it says "PRE" order, but...

Anyone else notice audio flub?
Caught small audio omitted after the first transition from Perry to Margret; jumped right into the middle of a sentence. At first I thought it was my media player but listened twice and same result. Am I hearing things?

Not something you would see anyway unless you had the file in editing software.
Redownloaded the file just in case and it's there.
I have got three copies now
Two signed and one that Amazon STILL hasn't coughed up from a pre-order. I'm halfway through the written book and I have to say I amazed that I can be freshly and even more deeply horrified by the book in its written form. I'll grab another one for an evil, early Christmas present for some poor soul now.
Get out and buy the book ya damn, dirty junkies!!!
Okay, no Budwesier this week!
get it now its so worth it
i got my copy 2 days ago i had the pdf version but still i had to get my greasy litttle junkie hands on that sweet cover
so i could read it on the bus on my way to work. finished it today and loved every word of it.
it took me four hours of searching since in victoria bc only chapters had it it wasnt even on the shelves yet. they couldnt find it in their new shipments i finally went back another hour later found a clerk who searched for half an hour and found it for me. if i can go through all that. so can you so buy the bloody book.
ps its literally bloody too 2 thumbs up scott
Buy the Damn Book Already!
I'll be getting another copy or two down in H-Town... Pretty soon I'll have a shelf of these things! And I can think of no better cause than the Sigler Ascension!

Lazy Bastards
Okay, I've got six books so far. I keep buying them for lazy bastards that I know won't go to the bookstore anytime soon. I will be passing those out over the next few weeks. Anything I can do to do my part!

TIP JAR
SCOTT. MAGNUS.
I'd be more than happy to shell out $20 a year for your show. You need a virtual tip jar. I think I learned in Siglernomics 102 that if even half of your 30K+ listeners fork over $20 per year you could probably quit your day job and supply your junkies with audio-crack full time.
_ No bout a doubt it
This is WHY I don't have a tip jar ...
For some reason it took this to convince me

I second wired pig. I have never bought as many books as recently and it is a joy to do so. For the price of our support we get all the goodies that fantastic Authors such as Scott, Mike Bennett, PG Holyfield et al can serve up. In addition we get a much closer relationship with these guys. It is such a joy to get some abuse aimed at me personally by the FDO. Always makes my day!
Now I suppose I had better order ANOTHER copy of infected.

woohoo
i get 70 free fiction episodes this year
[1st Dutch junkie] All that matters is getting my fix.
Amen to that!
Scott,
I fully agree with you on the "buy the book" philosphy. I even blogged about it here. I cant think of a better way to support a podcaster than to buy their stuff. I get free content for a year, or more, in exchange for about $20.00 (or less) a copy. Heck, I even get it personalized for free. The same goes for, dare I say it, J.C. Hutchins' work or Mur or Tee... the list goes on. Its far cheaper than paying for XM radio for a year or the same volume in On-Demand movies.
Wired Pig
Married, again, with 5 daughters... Scott has NO idea what true horror is.
