INFECTED

SynapticJam! Okay Junkies, this has to be given special recognition. People travelled from far and wide to see my book readings for INFECTED. At least twenty people told me they drove 4+ hours, one way, to attend the events in Seattle, L.A., San Francisco, New York and Houston.

But man, 2,482 miles round-trip?

That's how far James "SynapticJam" Keeling flew, travelilng from Minnesota to attend the reading at Houston's Murder by the Book.

That's just preposterous. I'd give this guy a Siglerism Heroic Infected Titan award (that's right, the coveted S.H.I.T. award), but he's already the name of the most bad-ass ship the galaxy has ever seen, the PUV James Keeling, a.k.a. "The Crypt."

SynapticJam, I knew there was something wrong with your head because you're a fan of mine (and that goes without saying), but man, that is one HUGE trip and I thank you.

(and yes, this is why I don't smile for most pictures, because when I do I look like a fucking tool).

UPDATE 4-22-08: Pope Siglericus XXX announced today that Keeling did, indeed, win the coveted S.H.I.T. award. "This acolyte of Siglerism clearly follows Scott Sigler, and since Scott is always #1, that makes Keeling a solid #2. Maybe some chunks of corn in there, sure, but still a solid #2."

Once again, the FDO comes through...
