Who should star in Ancestor (the movie)?

Pretend for a moment the movie version of Ancestor is in the works. If you were casting actors for the parts in the book, who would you want to see on the screen and in which role?

You know, it would be like when you put the wrong hot sauce on something and the heat completely overpowers the flavor of the food it's on...
