The Rookie #8

Well...Its been a while. Its Irishman from Ohio. I just finished episodes #1-8 of the Rookie. I like the way you depicted the Rookie. He is protrayed as a typical aragant(ms),prejudice American. At least in his social mental programing. The reference to "Kool Suites" could not be missed. The Carbon mixed fiber armor that spreads concussive energy is even a reality now. Even though I am shocked by the lack of violence(ms) that is your norm, this story is another example of how your sci-fi/horror is growing for the better. And if you don't like it, tuff !@#$!! Keep up the good work.
P.S. As long as Randy Kool stays dead I with be a loyal fan...

Great fracking job man. I was a band nerd in High School and enjoyed watching live football games but never got into watching games on tv. I have to say you do a great job of integrating the sport into a cool sci-fi future. I especially enjoy the alien desriptions and the technical details and descriptions of the ships and the equipment (the armor for the players, hologram practice field, etc).
Im a junkie from way back to Earthcore so keep up the hard work, keep our veins tapped, and above all else, stay gory biatch.
Now lets see some fucking heads come off in a game! I want limbs and tenticles and whatever the fuck else to start flying off! Give me some blue/green/red/purple blood god dammit!

Great but slightly confusing episode there Scott - hope the bonus ep clears things up for my virgin US football mind!

Don't worry too much about people not understanding American Football. I (for one) don't know ANYTHING about it, but I can understand that Quentin Barnes fumbled the throw and that it was intercepted.
Since I mostly listen while driving I cannot concentrate on the gameplay anyway (I have no time/concentration to build a picture in my head).

I just treat it as I do descriptions of space battles. I take the excitement from the tension build in the telling, not from the actual images in my head of positions and tactics.

On the scene where the book narrates about the Kretarakians, although the subject seemed really serious, I couldn’t keep myself from chuckling. The narrative style and what with the English accent and all - really sounded like a scene from one of the old BBC radio drama broadcasts of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy , where the ‘book’ blurts out one of its amazing entries.

Bringing in guest voices really livens up the production quality!

Uh wow. I havent started listening yet Scott, but that drawing makes me want to. Now I need to free up my time.

Mr. Sigler, you have a bad life.
You did completely mess-up the links to obsidian river and slice of scifi. Also, the level of violence in the Rookie is about as weak as the performance of your 'oh so precious' Detroit Lioncubs or whateverthehell they are called. (See, nobody even remembers their name... Or cares...).
"...and lots and lots of violence". Yeah right.

Anyway, keep plodding along and we'll keep on listening, I guess.
