alright alright, Scott gets pissed, fans come back (cause they are all dirty junkies), and we all get frigging warm and snuggly...Happy Friggin New Year. Now I have my new Krackens Jersey (totally awesome by the way) and am sitting by my computer waiting for the next Rookie episode, whilst wearing it. Now Scott, and trust me I am not harshing on you, but do I have time to take it off and wash it, or is the next one coming out soon?

The better the story is, the more people want it. If anything, all these comments show that the story is so damn good that people have having trouble living without it.

Keep it up man, you totally rule.

I completely understand where you are coming from, as I am in the same trap ... 60+ hour workweek, family, bills, honey-dos, then trying to find the time to finish a video I started Christmas weekend, get an episode of an internet radio show I am producing together, trying to find time to write my OWN book, working for a DJ service on weekends and trying to help the owner of that business get yet another video project rolling.

Frankly, I don't know how you are keeping up with what you ARE getting done, and as such, I salute you.

Good Job. When I first started listing to you I didn't like the Junkie reference. Of course I thought you sounded like Norm McDonald from SNL and it took me about 4 episodes to get that picture of Norm's dumb ass grin out of my head as you were talking. Now after that picture of you in the Jersey and Beany I picture Seth Green.

So give us our fix.

OK, it took two years and 3.5 podcast novels, but I'm finally pissed off. Not "joking Scott" pissed, but genuinely pissed off. Most of these comments are insulting (to be expected from you damn dirty Junkies), and that’s fun, but to the people who don’t want to LEAVE because their episode isn’t on time? Bye. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass.

To those people who can't figure out how to turn an episode "off" -- don't be a dumb-shit! My formula is simple: intro, I say "hi," story so far, then the story, then everything else. If you don't like promo, if you don't like calls, then TURN IT OFF. What, is someone holding a mousetrap poised over your balls making you listen to the whole thing? What, when I say "that's it for this week, folks" at the end of the story, you think I'm going to sneak in some extra story later on, and you might miss it if you don't listen to the whole thing?

Seriously, how stupid can you be? I put all my comments, all promos, calls and advertisements AFTER THE STORY IS COMPLETED. If you want to listen to the extra stuff, great, that's what it's there for, if you don't want to listen, TURN IT OFF.

Now I could understand if I made you listen to shit before the story, or I inserted ads into the middle of the story, but this is just idiotic complaining.

And as for getting rid of fan call-ins and comments? It's not going to happen. I do this podcast FOR the Junkies, and if they take their valuable time to communicate, I'm going to play it. Yes, that takes time on my part. Yes, that's time that could go into doing the episode. But you know what? I write to entertain, to make a connection with people that like a certain blue-collar style of storytelling. I bust my ass to make these stories tip-top. If that resonates with a Junkie, and they want to share that feeling, then I'm going to take the time to play it.

And as for this comment: "At the very least half the shows should be in the “Can” before the novel is even released as a podcast," do you have ANY IDEA how long it takes to put out just one episode? Why don't I take a nice two-week vacation to get half the episodes recorded before I start Nocturnal? Or how about I just skip work altogether?

I appreciate the fact that you want content and you like the story, but until this pays well enough to be a full-time gig, there are going to be periodic delays. Podcasting time is ALWAYS time away from my family, because I’m still working a 60-hour a week job.

Will I stop doing it? No. Not even the aforementioned mousetrap over my balls could make me stop (well, that’s a bit rhetorical, if you’re going to snap a real mousetrap on my sack, then yeah, I’d probably kick in a podcast moratorium).

I will get the episodes out when I can get them out. USUALLY that’s once a week. Sometimes, it won’t be once a week. That’s not an excuse, it’s reality – there’s only so many hours in the week. And don’t forget, most of you are here because I work pretty goddamn hard on promotion – that shit doesn’t just happen by itself. Family, work, podcasting, promotion – in that order. Hopefully, I can find some time to drop the deuce in that schedule, because I haven’t had the time to do that so far this week, and the plumbing backup is killing me.

ok, NO 14.5 Show, i keep looking, i went and DOWNLOADED it, imported it into iTunes, ITS STILL NOT THERE!!...

Then i look at the INFO on the mp3... guess what Genre is it..

I've been with Scott since the beginning too, and I am with you dg. This is a great story, but I'm tired of the fluff, late shows, and very little content. The phone calls should be a seperate show all together, and if someone want's to listen they can. I also like J.C.'s 7th son, but it's the same thing. Way to much promotion and fluff and very little content. Aren't these suppoesed to be podcast novels ?. At the very least half the shows should be in the "Can" before the novel is even released as a podcast. That way if things get busy for the author, things are still on schedual. I usually wait for at least two shows so I have at least 20 minutes of content to listen too.
Go back to the Earth Core format Scott. It worked the best.
In close Scott, read 5 pages of one of your favorite author's books like Stephen King. Followed by 10 pages of crap from his sponsers. And then,... 10 pages of fan mail. And then,... stop for 7 to 14 days before you can read another 5 pages of SK and you'll know how some of us feel. Best Reguards, John

Hey Scott. I've listened to all of your books, and have been patient through all of them. You haven't been able to get the episodes on time since earthcore. Always excuses. Sorry dude but I'm Gone.

Woring in radio for many years I understand audio production can be tough and time consuming. Here's a suggestion, change your focus. Lose the shows that are all calls and other junk and only work on 'the rookie'. Frankly I am bored and annoyed that a 30+ minute cast has only 10-12 minutes of story if it's there at all. Love the stories but not the call nonsense. The stories are what brought us here to begin with.
The comments belong on the board not on the cast. Who else is with me on this?
