Best. Episode. Ever.
Just had to drop a note - completely enjoyed Ep. 5. As a long time fan, I gotta say, in a breathy, Simpsons-esque voice, "Best. Episode. Ever."
Loved the pacing. Loved the humor. Loved the character development. I love that we're starting to see a buddy comedy in the middle of a horror/sci-fi framework. Still having difficulty in my mind casting the characters for the Contagious movie - I always sort of see Robert Forster as Phillips (Jackie Brown/Heroes), and Lauren Velez (Dexter - http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1379571456/nm0904967) as Montoya - but Scary Perry still has been uncastable for me because of his size. Any thoughts? Speedy recovery to the Evil Queen...

I had finished the book before I posted. At 1:57 in the morning.
Why would FDO have introduced them if he wasn't going to hurt them?
Actually had to take a break before a couple chapters 'cause I could see where it was going.

Still Avoiding the audio
Just checked the UPS site and my copy won't arrive til Wed. Starting to go insane to purposely avoid the podcast until I can read the book, still downloading, of course, but want the book in hand before I listen. Yeah, I cheated a bit, had to listen to #1!

Did the Nocturnal epilogue ever come out? I remember FDO talking about it but don't remember seeing it. Is it coming out at all or was it wrapped up in the last chapter?

Hmmm, it's Michigan, it's winter and there's some bad assed ex football player on the rampage (not to mention some alien spores)
What could possibly go wrong?
Oh, and while we're on the subject of Michigan and winter, wouldn't an ancestor - triangles crossover be cool. Or how about ancestors infected by triangles! Yeah I know the probe has checked for the dominant species blah-de-blah but a few rogue spores hitting ancestors would be awesome - as if they weren't bad enough already ;)
