A nice tan would make you
A nice tan would make you look much less cadaverish. It's springtime in the bay area and the sun will eventually sneak out from behind the fog and clouds. Having lived in a similar climate in Eugene previously I know you won't tan but instead you'll rust. To the untrained eye a nice even coat of rust looks like a suntan.
