Father's Day Special: FDO™ interviews his dad, Irv "Coach" Sigler

This is a highlight of my podcasting career -- a Father's Day interview with my father, Irv "Coach" Sigler. He's one of the coolest cats I know, and he's directly responsible for my twisted imagination and the stories you get each week (which we get into near the end of the interview).

If you're a fan of THE ROOKIE, you'll be amazed hearing about the changes in the game and the growth of players over the past five decades, and where that growth may lead us in the near future. He also doesn't like referees. Or Al Gore.

Scott you have an awesome father

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed listening to your dad, he sounds like a really nice guy and is obviously a great father, i must admit it brought a tear to my eyes, as my dad died a young man in a coal mining accident ten years ago.  You are a lucky man

Sorry to hear it

What a generation.

Your dad sounds a lot like my dad. They are going to be a hard generation to replace....

Scott, My Dad and I had a great time listening to your Dad...

This was by far one of the best interviews I have listenend to...my Dad taught math and coached track in Jr. High..I was in his Algebra class when I was an 8th grader... so it was fun to hear your Dad talk about coaching and your history being coached by him.  He sounds just awesome and you are a lucky man to have such a great Dad.

Now, dig out that "Monster Under The Porch" story and share it with us, Please?

Dude, your dad rocks it hard!

You are one lucky sumbitch. Your dad sounds like a very solid individual. No wonder you turned out so well. I actually sprayed a soda out of my nose when he mentioned Sea Kittens.

Die, sea kittens, DIE!

When I visit him, we always go out for some sea kitten butchery. Catch 'em, kill 'em, eat 'em.

Great Interview with your Dad, Irv Sigler!

Hi Scott:

People who don't come from home lives that look like Stephen King novels AMAZE and INSPIRE me. All the time you didn't have to waste crawling through therapy. I know you and Hutch just crawl around on the floor in bars! Seriously, I loved this inteerview and will be sending it along to several of my friends who love football and solid family life and values.

Man, your dad took a swipe at all the things I LOVE to hate, including Sea Kittens and Al (what an ass) Gore.

God bless you and your cool family. This interview truly blessed me.
