FDO™ launches Dark Overlord Media

Junkies, today is a big day in Siglerism. As reported in the Global Print Monitor, I have launched the future platform of world destruction. Say hello to my little friend: Dark Overlord Media! I have partnered with Audacity Events, a San Diego company run by Junkie AlphaGirl, to establish my own small press imprint.
Dark Overlord Media Launches, Publishing Books By Established Online Personalities
San Francisco, CA (August 19, 2009) – New York Times best-selling author Scott Sigler today announced the formation of Dark ∅verlord Media, a publishing house created to produce books and other properties for established online personalities.
“Entertainers are using the internet to establish their own audiences,” Sigler said. “You no longer need a big publisher or a network marketing machine generate a fan base. Dark ∅verlord Media wants to help those entertainers and journalists create tangible products that will make their audiences happy, then facilitate selling directly to those audiences.”

How far along the path should I be?
This seems to be an excellent way to take advantage of the space and its potential.
My initial question is, "How far along the path do you need to be?" Meaning, do I need to be an established author with an already large contingent of listeners prior to working with DOM? Or are you segmenting and tiering the business to address authors at different stages of their online careers?

To be published by Dark ∅verlord Media right at this moment, you must have 3000 copies of your book sitting in a warehouse in San Francisco, 1800 of which are pre-sold. ;-)
Today we're totally focused on THE ROOKIE. Today through next Wednesday. Then Scott finishes ANCESTOR, then goes to D*C, then on the ROOKIE Tailgate Tour.

Right now, we're a one-writer shop, at least for fiction.
We've targeted two people who are not fiction writers, but we don't know if that will pan out.
The business plan allows for us to target strategic relationships within the next 12 months, and potentially open the field for submissions at 24 months.
So, the short answer is no manuscript submissions as yet, and we're not legally allowed to accept and review them. Yet.
