CONTAGIOUS paperback covers: English and German

in

The Plaid Tanks™ continue to roll across the globe, now re-conquering Germany and America. Yes, I've conquered both of these countries before, but any good despot mounts a second offensive to cause additional casualties and wipe out the last elements of resistance.

The German paperback of CONTAGIOUS (titled "VIRULENT") is on the right, and the US paperback of CONTAGIOUS is on the left. Awww, snap ... does that US cover say "The New York Times Bestseller?" Fuck yes it does. And thanks to Junkie jgerhold for pointing out that the German version was up on Amazon.de.

Greek and French covers of INFECTED

Let the plaid tanks roll! Eye candy for you. The French and Greek editions of INFECTED will soon invade those respective countries. The French is the green one on the left, the Greek is on the right. If you speak those languages and want a copy, both covers link to places you can buy them. Very fun to spread the Stank in foreign lands.

Friday Fix: Live Q&A with the FDO™

During a Stank Stop™ in San Diego, I recorded a live question and answer session with the big crowd at Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore. This is also where I recorded TITLE FIGHT: Round #1. No new fiction content, but lots of questions about NOCTURNAL, THE ROOKIE, the publishing industry and advice for aspiring authors, the INFECTED movie, what's next in the Siglerverse, and more.

iProngOh, snap! Who is that stunning bald man on the cover of iProng Magazine (or is he just stunningly bald? Someone get GrammarGirl, quick). iProng Magazine is a cool publication that covers iPhone, iPod, music, podcasting, and social media lovers. That's right, they cover more than just follicularly challenged authors with Napoleonic complexes.

Bonus: PDF preview of Harwood novel JACK WAKES UP

JACK WAKES UP cover

Cinco de Mayo? No, it's Cinco de Harwood! JACK WAKES UP is a crime novel by long-time podcast author Seth Harwood. It's available in bookstores everywhere today. You may have seen this book before, as he gave it away as a free podcast and sold it as a paperback with Breakneck Books. This version, however, is from Three Rivers Press, a division of Random House, the world's largest publisher. Harwood has gone from a small publisher to the big-time. The PDF linked above is the first three chapters. The formatting sucks and it will hard to read on portable devices, but hey, it's free and it's a good story.

I strongly reccomend this book. If you like Tarantino movies, you'll snort this up with a rolled-up hundo. It's also a good way to support podcasting, and keep pushing the envelope until we see all major authors giving their books away for free as podcasts and letting the customer decide what and how and if they want to buy. Click here to buy JACK WAKES UP from Amazon.com.

Bring Your Own Big Wheel: "Team Infected"

I've already blabbed about Team Infected's sixth straight national championship at the Bring Your Own Big Wheel race (BYOBW) in San Francisco, but you've got to see this amazing video by Aaron Proctor. How do you make the Walking Cadaver look good? All in the lighting, my friends, it's all in the lighting. Click on the video picture to hit Aaron's site and watch the goods.

TEAM INFECTED: Six-Time BYOBW National Champions
• Scott "General Siglerisimo" Sigler
• Joe "The Decapitator" Carlson
• Annette "Armageddon" Anderson
• "Bodacious" Brittany Burke

Video endorsement: THE NEXT FIX

I'm a fan of Matt Wallace and kicked out a little video endorsement for his book, THE NEXT FIX. I also review the book here. If you have a kindle, this book is a lousy $4. Considering the state of the American dollar, that's like only 53 cents or something.

SIGLER's NEXT HARDCOVER

Time to announce the next book, and it's just so damn special I had to bust out video and unleash the Eyebrow of Doom™. As Conan once said, "Enough talk!" Let's get into it. Can we hit the New York Times best-seller list again with this bad boy? You be the judge.

AMC TV blog: The Horror Oscars

in

Let's face it, Junkies, the Oscars™ sucked donkey balls. Yes, I said that, "donkey balls."

Oh pretty please, give us more random award-chasing movies that no one saw. They are so very important! They clearly deserve awards while the movies that people actually want to see are constantly ignored. You want the real categories that matter? Check out the FDO™'s blog this week over at AMC TV.

With categories like "Scariest Monster" and "Best Horror Movie Titles That Weren't Actually Horror Movies," you can't go wrong. While you're there, leave a comment and click "Recommended." Rawk.

VACATION!!!!

in

Junkies, I love ya, but I gots ta go. Here's my equation. What do these things equal:

+ 1 insane book deadline
+ 1 dead dog
+ 1 dead father-in-law
+ 1 big-time hardcover (2, actually)
+ 1 wife with thyroid cancer
+ 1 eleven-city book tour (where I drank with some of the greatest people on the planet)
+ 1 wife beating thyroid cancer
+ 1 trip to the NY Times best-seller list

The cosign sum of the imaginary number set = VACATION!!! The FDO™ and the EQ™ are going to Cancun for five days. Never been there. No Internet. And even with that, I still got my weekly podcast out with CONTAGIOUS #11, which drops Sunday, Feb. 15. When I am stacking empty MaiTai glasses to see how high they will go, I will be thinking of y'all. Five days of fun, then time to get cracking on either ANCESTOR or NOCTURNAL (with a sexayyyy hardcover of THE ROOKIE thrown in for good measure).
