When will my copy of THE ROOKIE be delivered, and when will my card get charged?
Books generally ship from our offices within a week. If you've requested personalization, could take a bit longer. Your card or PayPal account is charged when you order, not when the book ships.
Can I get a specific book number? (Also known as: Can I get book number 3000? I neeeeed book number 3000 man!)
No. In an effort to be fair to everyone, and due to the logistics of distribution, we assign numbers in order of purchase only, and number order is determined by when we get the email confirming the purchase. The distribution team are working very hard already, and adding that layer of work isn't feasible.
Please note: We have received over 100 requests for book #3000. Please do not ask, as we will not honor your request. Although it is not yet decided, it's very likely that we'll auction that last book.
Can I order any other way, or just PayPal and credit card?
If you don't have a PayPal account, you can use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. When you make your order, look for the "Don't have a PayPal account?" section on the left-hand side (click on the image at left for a closer look at that section). Look for the "continue" link there, that's what you have to hit to order with your credit card. Make any adjustment to quantity you may need, then enter location so PayPal can calculate shipping costs. PayPal allows us to ship worldwide, and gives you options for payment method.
Can I order more than one?
Absolutely! PayPal is set up for ordering up to 4 books at a time, if that's your pleasure.
Will you personalize mine? Sign that shiz all Sigler style?
Absolutely! Personalization at the time of purchase is only available for books purchased through this website, not through the Amazon page. Please use the "Add special instructions for Scott" text field during check-out at PayPal to let me know what you want.
What if I made a mistake in my special instructions?
No
problem. Just use the contact form to let me know what fixes you need.
If I haven't already signed and shipped your book, we'll fix it.
Will you ship to my country/APO/FPO/backwater town?
Yes. PayPal should work for your shipping address. If you have trouble, use the contact form to let me know, and we'll get it figured out.
Are you selling at Amazon? In bookstores?
Yep, it's for sale at Amazon.com. At this moment, our friends at Borderlands have a few copies, but no other bookstores.
What if I want to send someone a copy of THE ROOKIE as a gift?
Wow, you are a truly awesome friend! Just complete the "Add special instructions for Scott" text field with the details you want, and use the gift recipient's shipping address.
Can I order your other books when I order THE ROOKIE?
Yes and no. You'll order THE ROOKIE using the PayPal button on the order page, or from Amazon.com. You can order Scott's other books from here, but they'll ship separately.
What if THE ROOKIE sells out before I can buy a copy?
Life is cold, brutish, short and hella unfair. But never fear, dear Damn Dirty Junkie, we already have a plan working for the second print run. Won't be the limited edition, individually signed & numbered goodness of the the first 3000, but we'll get you hooked up.
What can you tell me about the ROOKIE Tailgate Tour?
ROOKIE Tailgate Tour (also known as the soon to be infamous and frickin' Eric Estrada-level awesomeness "RTT") September 2009 was awesome to behold. There are plans in the works for the ROOKIE Tailgate Tour: West Coast Conference. Stops in San Jose, Los Angeles and San Diego in December 2009; San Francisco, Denver and possible Cheyenne, Wyoming in January 2010. Updates tour tee shirts will be available for purchase on the site soon.
